Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week (5 – 11 September 2016) is a national campaign that aims to create a more inclusive and accessible community for everyone.
This year, the inaugural World Spinal Cord Injury Day on Monday 5 September will launch the awareness week in Australia.
We’re raising awareness about what it means to have a spinal cord injury – and that people who have a spinal cord injury are involved in all aspects of life and are contributing to the community in so many different ways.
On this website you will find practical tips and advice about how you can make your community more inclusive, along with stories from our campaign ambassadors and contacts for support organisations in your state.
Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week is an initiative of the Australian Spinal Injury Alliance, which represents eight of the country’s largest spinal cord injury organisations, and is a national voice for all Australians who have sustained a spinal cord injury.
